Drug usage in sports has always been a problem. While often controversial, athletes have confessed over interviews to their usage of medical cannabis before games. Cannabis is not a preformance enhancing drug. In fact it may do the exact opposite. So why has the recent legalization of this drug popularized it within the proffessional Basketball leauge? Well, many say it soothes their nerves before they preform before large audiences and often over live television. My questions are what will the NBA do about this? It is obvious that drugs should not be allowed to alter the outcome of a game in wich the athletes are payed. But does cannabis make the outcomes of these games unfair?
